Our Story
Cast & Reel started in 2015 when two lifelong UK anglers — fed up with generic tackle shops that stocked gear for every fishing scene in the world except the one outside their door — decided to build something better.
Tom Whitfield (carp and coarse, Cheshire) and Dave Norcross (sea and predator, Lancashire coast) had between them fished rivers, reservoirs, piers, and estuaries right across England. They knew which brands held up on a rain-soaked riverbank, which rigs worked on UK carp lakes, and which rods could handle North Sea surf. What they couldn't find was a single online store that put that knowledge front and centre.
