Returns Policy

30-Day Returns Window

You have 30 calendar days from the date of delivery to return any item for a full refund or exchange. No questions asked for unwanted items.

What can be returned?

We accept returns on items that are:

  • Returned within 30 days of the delivery date
  • Unused and in their original, unaltered condition
  • In their original packaging with all tags, manuals, and accessories included
  • Not excluded items (see below)

What cannot be returned?

  • Items that have been used, assembled, or had their packaging removed (e.g. open bait packets, spooled line)
  • Personalised or custom-ordered items
  • Perishable goods (e.g. live or fresh bait, where applicable)
  • Items purchased as part of a bundle where one component has been used

If you're unsure whether your item qualifies for a return, please contact us before sending anything back.

How to Return an Item

Follow these steps to return an item:

Contact us to request a returns authorisation

Email returns@castreel.co.uk (demo placeholder) or use our contact form with your order number and the item(s) you wish to return. We'll reply within one working day with a Returns Authorisation (RA) number.

Pack your item securely

Use the original packaging where possible. Include all accessories, manuals, and tags. Write your RA number clearly on the outside of the parcel.

Post the item back to us

Send to the returns address provided in your RA email (demo placeholder). We recommend using a tracked postal service and retaining proof of postage. Return postage costs are the customer's responsibility for unwanted items.

Refund processed

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll process your refund within 5–10 working days to the original payment method.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged, faulty, or is not what you ordered, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Take Photos

Photograph the item, packaging, and any visible damage before contacting us. This helps us resolve the issue quickly.

Contact Us

Email or use the contact form with your order number, a description of the issue, and your photos attached.

Free Return

For damaged, faulty, or incorrect items we cover return postage costs and will resend or refund in full.

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, refunds are typically processed within 5–10 working days. You'll receive an email confirmation when the refund has been issued.

How refunds are issued

Refunds are returned to the original payment method used at checkout:

  • Card payments — refunded to the same card, typically visible within 3–5 banking days after processing
  • PayPal — refunded to your PayPal account within 3–5 working days
  • Klarna (Pay in 3) — outstanding instalments are cancelled and any paid instalments are refunded
  • Apple Pay / Google Pay — refunded to the linked card or account

Partial refunds

If an item is returned in a used or damaged condition (where damage is not due to a manufacturing fault), we reserve the right to issue a partial refund to account for the reduction in value. You'll be notified before any partial refund is processed.

For unwanted items (change of mind), return postage is the customer's responsibility. For damaged, faulty, or incorrect items, we will provide a prepaid returns label or reimburse your postage costs — contact us first.
Yes. When requesting your returns authorisation, let us know you'd like an exchange and specify the replacement item (subject to availability). If the replacement is a different price, we'll adjust accordingly before despatch.
Items that develop a manufacturing fault within 6 months of purchase are covered under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Contact us with a description and photos of the fault. We'll arrange a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate. Faults caused by misuse or accidental damage are not covered.
We aim to process refunds within 5–10 working days of receiving your return. Card and PayPal refunds may take a further 3–5 banking days to appear in your account depending on your bank. You'll receive an email confirmation once your refund has been issued.
